INTERNSHIPS AT FRINGE

We at Fringe need your support! We’re looking for hardworking, good-natured, punctual people who love the arts and have some time to spare from mid-October 2017 to mid-March 2018! What do you say, fledgling Fringe ponies? Would you like to join our herd of unicorns?

AVAILABLE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS

Fringe Manila offers internships covering all aspects of the festival-mounting process.

Marketing, digital media, technical theatre, festival management; which hat do you want to try on? Some of us here at Fringe prefer a good beret, but we’d prefer that you take a look at our available internship programs.
ADMINISTRATIVE INTERNSHIP

Hey there, bossy! Do you like organizing and coordinating schedules and events? Maybe you’d be interested in an ADMINISTRATIVE INTERNSHIP, where our most passionate interns get to assist in the producing and managerial aspects of the festival.

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Organized
  • Interested in conducting administrative work
  • Good communicators and coordinators
  • Experienced in the planning and management of events

Administrative interns should expect to

  • Work directly under and assist the programs manager and festival director
  • Assist with the scheduling of performances, events, and other activities pertaining to Fringe
  • Help in the planning and running of Fringe-related events
  • Communicate with participants, volunteer staff, and audience members on a variety of subjects

MARKETING INTERNSHIP:

Hoy ingay! Umayos ka! Use that outgoing personality and apply for a MARKETING INTERNSHIP, where interns assist the marketing manager in drafting and executing business strategies with the goal of generating interest from sponsors and potential audiences

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Business-savvy
  • Effective at communicating with potential sponsors and external parties
  • Comfortable with using various social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)

Marketing interns should expect to:

  • Work directly under the marketing manager
  • Assist in planning and executing marketing plans and strategies
  • Facilitate relations between sponsors and Fringe marketing
  • Engage across social media platforms on behalf of the festival

TECHNICAL THEATRE INTERNSHIP:

Do you want to get your hands on a lighting console? Or on a sound mixer? Do you like operating behind-the-scenes or do you just like wearing all-black? Whatever your reason is, we think you should be applying for a TECHNICAL THEATRE INTERNSHIP. These interns will work directly with artists and venue personnel, ensuring smooth transitions before, during, after, and in-between performances.

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Familiar with the various aspects of technical theatre (lights, sounds, projection)
  • Responsive to potential technical issues
  • Flexible workers and learners

Technical Theatre interns should expect to

  • Serve as a technical liaison to Fringe venues
  • Work directly with Fringe artists and production managers
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues should they arise

DIGITAL MEDIA INTERNSHIP:

Do you not appear in pictures because you’re taking them? Maybe you’d be interested in a DIGITAL MEDIA INTERNSHIP, where interns document the festival-mounting process from start to finish.

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Experienced in creating digital content (photography, videography)
  • Proficient in the use of any of the following editing programs: Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom
  • Efficient workers under tight deadlines

Digital Media interns should expect to:

  • Work directly under the design manager
  • Document events over the course of the festival proper
  • Submit collateral for promotional material and documentation purposes
